Linda Lea Bertrand continues to develop her artistic perception in creating evocative landscapes, seascapes and portraits. Like many artists, she did not have an opportunity to study art in school. Building on a lifelong love of drawing, she began painting independently in watercolor and pastel. She began oil painting after joining a weekly Plein air group with David P. Curtis. She has also studied with Charlotte Wharton, Paul George and Daniel Greene, all contributing something unique to her progression in art.
She had her first solo exhibit in 2009. She has been a SeARTS recognized artist and had paintings featured in NORTHSHORE LIFE magazine. In addition, Linda Lea has displayed her paintings in several solo and group shows and participated regularly in the art organizations where she is a member, plus Marblehead Arts Festival and local plein air events.
She lives in the seaside town of Marblehead, Massachusetts and travels to Provence, France annually to paint.
